23 November 2005

Tomorrow is "Thanksgiving", an American holiday, but we have broadened its reach, to cross International waters, to be one of appreciating all that has graced our path, no matter where you live and where we land, on that last Thursday in November of every year for over 200 years, people have been giving thanks on this day.

For s/v Encanto, we continue to live blessed and gracious lives, challenged and changing lives, a series of moments that remind us how important it is to live true to our hearts and follow our dreams. So many, many people have been generous in their "gifts" of support to us and to them we owe enormous thanks and gratitude. Know that you are special in our hearts.

When we pause between our bites of turkey (yes! we will have turkey), cranberries, green beans and Mrs. Field's pecan bars, about twenty of us, will gather like the Indians and the Pilgrims at a shoreline cruiser's traditional potluck, to lend cheer and glory for a moment of harmonious grace and hopefully, light breezes (just enough to keep the bugs away).  Let's hope the infamous papagayo winds will wait for another day, yes, many another days.

A wonderful holiday beverage is Chai Tea. Even in the warmest of weather, we enjoy the pleasure and comfort of tea time. Enjoy this warm or chilled. Our gift of thanks for you.
