Our Proclamation to Neptune: God of the Sea

Beholding to you,
your court of mermaids, mermen and all sentient beings of the seas.

Under the moon and stars,
in calm ocean blues,
WE, on the sailing vessel Encanto,
"Shellbacks" under the southern cross,
do solemnly swear: (NOW: Raise your hand and repeat after me)

--protect you from harms ways,
--heed to your every ebb and flow,
--listen and obey to wave warnings,
--taste and partake respectfully of your bounty,
--humbly revel in your beauty and benign temperament,
--and never seek more than will fill our sails,
nor slice through your seas with nothing less than steady precision.

We, so do proclaim, at dawn,

With this proclamation, we do bestow to you, gifts (not garbage)
--a boat for you, so you do not need ours.   (toss in an origami paper sail boat)
--a fish for prosperous procreation.  (toss in a paper fish)
--a crane for longevity between mar y tierra.  (toss in an origami paper crane)
--our motto, bestowed on a biodegradable button, so you too, may LIVE YOUR DREAMS.

so be it....Officially, now we have sailed across the equator and we BE "shellbacks"!!!   :),:),:),:)
