081 deg 11.935 WWe have left Puerto Lucia Yacht Club and are now headed to the Galapagos. The seas are calm and we are sailing comfortably. Yet there are a few freighters around us because we are passing a shipping lane.
As for sea life we have seen a couple of birds and possibly a turtle or sun fish.
The crew is all right and the captain just went down for a nap.
The leaving of Puerto Lucia was uneventful. Except when Encanto started to tear up the fuel dock. The crew had gone into take last minute showers and when they came out, the boat was idling by the break water. Then one of the marinanerias, Julio, came to take all of us back out to the boat. As we were motoring out S/V Carina and George Stewart waved good bye to us. From there we took off and are now having a wonderful sail at 3.7 knots.
