Rainy Day

Captain:
Today is a cloudy rainy day, actually rather nice; a good day to read a book. I'm on a new diet, devouring a book a day. Not much calorie lost, but lots of food for thought. These days, I find my mood and well being is dictated by how well we are protected from wind waves. We have heard horror stories from cruisers caught on a lee shore in 30 knots of wind, poor holding, chain wrapped around coral heads, with more menacing coral heads behind them. For the most part we have managed this entire concern pretty well. There have been several places that have turned sour on us, but nothing real bad. This is of course, is to be expected. The anchorage in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, was worse in many respects, but we were quite comfortable there as we are here.
