July 31, 2007, Tuesday, Day 26

More snorkeling, more beach combing, more of paradise. What can we say???

Crew Anya:
I woke up this morning, really early (for me) and saw the most beautiful full moon shining its silver light over the anchorage. And all of a sudden I had a new idea for a children's book! So, I got my book out and starting taking notes. It just grew in front of my eyes and I got all excited about it! Our working title is 'Bucket Boy' but that's not final yet. I hope one day to present my niece, Bo, with the book and read it with her.

Snorkeling was once again fantastic. Gaby and I stayed close together, pointing out several beautifully colored fish. I had seen some sharks but since Gaby is not the biggest shark-lover on this planet, decided not to point these out. Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on who might be telling this story - she discovered the shark(s) herself all of a sudden and did a little freak-out movement, grabbed my hand and crushed it. After that initial moment though, she did great. She kept on swimming; she kept breathing and did not freak out. I am very proud of her! We swam together to the dinghy where she could proudly tell the others that she swam with the Big Ones… Yeah!
