Day 18 in the Society Islands
Moorea, underway to Tahiti

First Mate:
Passage was a great sail. Perfect amount of wind, about 12 knot from the east. We were back in Tahiti in about four hours.

Once anchored, John took off to be sure Ann arrived safely on the Air Tahiti flight from Moorea to Tahiti. We carried her bags back with us on the boat. Since most travel by the expedient and frequent ferries from Moorea to Papeete (Tahiti) and after a recent airline accident two weeks ago, the number of Air Tahiti flights for island hops has decreased dramatically to two or three times a day, instead of the hourly pattern of a few weeks ago.

In the meantime the rest of us worked on boat chores and school. Anya works to starve a cold virus/sore throat. She tries desperately not to share this with any of us.
